Specialty Alginate Manufacturing and Supplier

Alginate Supplier Company SNP carries three specialty dry alginate product series, the QD series, the QS Series and the DC Series.

The QD Series consists of sodium alginates, quick dispersing products designed to prevent lumping in systems during low agitation. The cream/light tan granular powder is used in papermaking, paper coatings, textiles, printing , and certain specialty industries.

This product line benefits from excellent water holding properties, reduced porosity, (high Gurley) for release grades, outstanding high shear runability, and improved printability.

SNP can make this product to provide different solution viscosities ranging from 10 to 600 cps in a 1% solution. Our QD series consists of the S-15-QD, S-50-QD, S-160-QD and S-500-QD.

Specialty Alginate Manufacturing The QS Series are quick soluble alginate products that reduce the required hydration time from 30 minutes to less than 10 minutes. Like the QD Series, the QS Series is a cream/light tan granular powder and has the same application uses and benefits.

The viscosity range is 10 to 600 cps. SNP carries S-15-QS, S-50-QS, S-500-QS, and S-1300-QS products.

The DC Series, consisting of specifically modified products, is engineered sodium alginate, which appears as a clear/tan granular powder. These products feature a reduction in porosity for release grade paper. High Gurley results are achievable.

This product is 90% solids with viscosities less than 1500 cps.
